DESCRIPTION:Are you looking for a weekend outlet to show your dismay with the authoritarians and their accomplices? Need a bit of community\, resistance\, conversation\, joy and cheering for the beeps from passing supporters? Join us on Saturdays at the Gallatin County Courthouse from 12-1p! Bring your favorite sign\, an American flag or just your anti-authoritarian energy and get out of the house! \nBecause one protest isn’t enough to defend democracy! \nSafety instructions – Our activity is lawful and safe.  The police know we are at the Courthouse exercising our First Amendment rights and they have been supportive.  We use the buddy system\, so we are not out here alone.  We stay on the sidewalk.  We do not block the sidewalk.  We obey traffic rules.  We do not do any violence or graffiti.  We do not go on private property.  We remain aware of our surroundings and talk about what we see. Remaining overly cheerful de-escalates many situations.  If something is escalating uncomfortably\, some of us video\, and some call 911.

This session is all about hands-on practice in a safe\, supportive environment\, giving students the opportunity to refine their skills and grow their confidence on the range. Participants will review and continue developing core shooting fundamentals\, including proper grip\, stance\, sight alignment\, and trigger control. With instructor guidance and structured drills\, this course helps reinforce good habits\, improve consistency\, and deepen overall firearm proficiency. Whether you’re looking for more repetition\, additional coaching\, or just time on the range to solidify your skills\, Handgun 1.5 is a great next step in your training journey. \nClass Details \nRegistration Requirements: None\, this class is open to club members and non-members. \nClass Prerequisite: Basic Handgun 1.0 or Basic Pistol \nClass Requirements: \n\nState land requires a conservation license. A conservation license can be purchased on the FWP website for $8.00.\nStudents are encouraged to provide their firearms. If they do not own one\, the club may be able to provide a loaner for the class.\n\nRange Class Requirements: \n\nFirearm\nRange bag\n2 Mags\nMagazine carriers/pouches – if you have them. No holsters\, please.\n300 rounds of ammo per person\nSpeed loader\nEar protection\nEye protection (sunglasses are okay)\nWater Bottle + Snack\nChair\n\nClass Location: Class location will be provided upon registration confirmation. \nClass Fee: $30.00 \n\nClass fees help cover classroom and course materials.\nClass payment is due at booking via credit card.\nCancellations & Refunds: If you need to cancel your registration\, please email us at admin@gallatincommunitygunclub.org.
