Trump said that the U.S. has taken control over Venezuela. As stated by Indivisible\, “We need Congress to check this regime’s lawless violence\, or there’s no telling where this will end.” \nPlease join us for an emergency protest on Sunday\, January 4th at 12pm at the Gallatin County Courthouse to voice our opposition to U.S. imperialism in Venezuela! Oak St. & Twin Lakes Ave. \nWhat to Expect: We’ll rally outside of Daines’ office with signs and take turns entering the office in pairs to deliver our messages directly to Senator Daines’ staff. \nHow to Prepare: Bring your written comments and signs — or just come to stand in solidarity. \n*Note – if you do not intend to go in the office to meet with the Senator’s staff\, please park on the public streets instead of in the building’s parking lot. \nA core principle behind all Indivisible Bozeman events is a commitment to nonviolence in words and action. DESCRIPTION:On January 20 at 2:00 PM\, people across the country will withdraw their labor and walk out together as a visible act of solidarity and resistance. \nIf you’d like to walk in community\, gather at the Courthouse at 2:00 PM. Bring a sign that reflects what you are walking out for—or walking away from. Those who are able are invited to walk together along Main Street\, from the Courthouse to Rouse and back\, before we wrap up at 3:00 PM. \nThis walkout is part of the Free America Walkout\, led nationally by the Women’s March and the 50501 movement (https://www.freeameri.ca/). \nWHY WE WALK One year into Trump’s second term\, our communities are facing escalating threats to our freedoms—through fear\, division\, surveillance\, and violence aimed at silencing dissent.
